Found a copy of the AP story that was originally done by the La Crosse Tribune (story was removed from their site). This is the story with the picture that set everything in motion for Zoey appearing on the Today show and the Ellen Degeneres Show. Check it out here.
The La Crosse Tribune has recognized Zoey for being in the new Ripley's Believe It Or Not book. Check out the story here.
Zoey's unique ability has been Recognized by Ripley's Believe It or Not and she will be published in the 2009 book Seeing Is Believing. The only way to see this print is to go to your local library and look at the book or purchase a copy. There are a lot of cool things in the book, either way check it out. Here is the link to Amazon to order the book.
Zoey made it in the Vilas County newspaper for her participation in the St Germain parade. You can see a little of it here!
Zoey was contacted by Time for Kids magazine and they wanted to do an article on Zoey going backwards. You can see the article here!
Today we were contacted by the World Records Academy because the felt that Zoey had a record for the backwards roller limbo. You can read the story here!
We found it. The Ellen Degeneres Show posted Zoey's May appearance on the show for people to vote on. You can now see the show right online, check it out here!
We found out that Dan Simmons of the La Crosse Tribune newspaper is going to be leaving for an opportunity in California. As he writes his last articles for the paper, he wrote a section of his most memorable stories. Zoey was one of them and you can see the story here (9/20/09: the link no longer works). Goodbye Dan, we will miss you.
Zoey also made the Wo-Zha-Wa parade pictures that the Wisconsin Dells Events reports took. This picture was taken by Trevor Kupfer, the picture can be seen here (sorry, this link from the newspaper is no longer available). What a cool picture.
It has been a few months since Zoey has had any media attention that we know about. Then came along Trevor Kupfer with the Wisconsin Dells Events news paper. He wanted to do a story about Zoey prior the the Wo-Zah-Wa parade in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Trevor did a very nice story and has even given me the right to reproduce the story and the pictures from the story. If you want to see the story please click here (sorry, this link from the newspaper is no longer available) to go the Wisconsin Dells Events website. The story ran in the 09/15/2007 Wisconsin Dells Events and in the Portage Daily Register. We want to thank Trevor for the wonderful story that was a big hit with all the "locals".
Zoey will be on the Ellen Degeneres Show on Tuesday 5/29/2007. The experience was great and we would like to give special thanks to Vikki, Laura, Ellen (staff member, not the Ellen), and Kara (she was briefly involved). All the staff there were very nice and very professional. I will give more details later. Thank you Ellen for giving Zoey a spot on your show, it was a very nice experience? Please watch, I think you will be amazed.
Zoey was on the Today Show that aired on Wednesday 5/23/2007 live. It was an awesome experience. We meet Meredeth, Ann, Al, and Matt. But, the big surprise was meeting Martha Stewart, of course that was behind the scenes, check out the pictures. Please watch the internet video here, also, read the blog here. I think you will be amazed.
Dan Simmons of the La Crosse Tribune ran an update story about Zoey in the Tuesday May 21 edition. You can see the story here, I hope you all ran out and bought a copy of the paper, you get to see a lot more.
Zoey's first television adventure came from a television station in La Crosse Wisconsin. Zoey was put on Channel 8 WKBT in a segment called "In Search Of" by the very talented Jennifer Livingston. The show aired on 04/26/2007. You can no longer view the video at the stations site, but you can on YouTube, click here. The text of the video is here for all of you to read if you can not view the segment. Our favorite quote from Jennifer is that Zoey has "freakish flexibility". Thank you Jennifer and Channel 8 WKBT La Crosse.
Now for the story that made the famous picture of Zoey that has been seen all over the world. This story was done by Dan Simmons of the La Crosse Tribune in Wisconsin and ran on the front page on 4/20/2007. Dan came out and interviewed Zoey for a couple of hours and it was a very pleasant experience for Zoey. The one thing I can say about Dan, he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met On top of his professionalism, he is very down to earth. Dan brought with him a photographer by the name of Erik Daily. Erik is the photographer who shot the now famous picture of Zoey that can be seen in Dan's story right here (9/20/09: currently not working, contacting the editor to see if the story is still around). Dan is definitely a credit to the La Crosse Tribune and I hope he has a very long stay there. Thank you Dan!
Now, for the very special story. The story that started it all was a story that ran in the Tomah Journal on the front page and ran on 4/12/2007. This story was written by Keith Zukas and because of his story all the other stories were born. You can read the story here. Well Keith, special thanks goes to you and the Tomah Journal for starting this snow ball of fame. Thank you very much!
