11/7/07: Today we returned from shooting the Ellen show. The expected air date is
11/19/07. We hope you all tune in to see the show and to see Zoey. We just want to say that the staff at the Ellen show is very nice. We especially want to say that both Vikki and Kara are the best in our eyes! Also, a special thanks to Jennifer L who took care of us the whole time we were there. We also want to thank Ellen R, and Alissa C for being so helpful getting us there and taking care of us in California. To all of the Ellen staff and Ellen DeGeneres herself, thanks, you are all wonderful!
11/2/07: Today the Ellen show called and wants Zoey back out to tape another show.
10/14/07: We received a call from the Ellen show asking for a follow up on Zoey and to send some video of her going backwards. Today we shot the video in beautiful Rome Wisconsin. You can see a picture from the video on the pictures page. We also met Officer Wilson while filming. He was curious of the little setup we had and wanted to take a look.
9/17/07: Well the parade is over and it was a lot of fun. Zoey had a blast and was a big hit. We did receive a letter from the Wo-Zah-Wa parade director Dale Williams saying that the spectators loved Zoey's performance and that it was a great addition to the parade. We all enjoyed doing the parade and we hope to be invited back next year. Thanks Dale from all of us!
9/12/07: As we prepare for the Wo-Zah-Wa parade, a reporter by the name of Trevor Kupfer with the Wisconsin Dells Events newspaper requested an interview with Zoey. Zoey had the interview today with Trevor in the Dells. Trevor is a really nice person and we really enjoyed the whole experience. We are waiting to see the story which will be in the Wisconsin Dells Events on Saturday September 15, 2007. Check out the picture of Zoey with Trevor in the pictures page. Thanks Trevor.
The whole theme for this parade is ending of summer and entering fall. Zoey will be in orange with a orange banner with black lettering. I hope to have a picture of the banner up real soon. I think this is something you will all want to see, so come to the parade on Sunday September 16, 2007 starting at 1:30 PM.
8/10/07: It has been quiet lately. Zoey has been practicing her limbo, but going backwards. Zoey has confirmation from the Wo-Zah-Wa committee that she will be in the parade on September 16, 2007 in Wisconsin Dells. Zoey has also made her way on to YouTube with a 2 second video. It is not the best, but now that we know how to do it we will be putting up some better ones. Click here to view the YouTube video. As it stands now, we are still waiting on information on the world record. It has been about a month, so hopefully soon. So, keep your eye out for new pictures here and some new video on YouTube.
7/14/2007: Today Zoey performed at the Rome Wisconsin parade. This is Zoey's first parade or appearance in her home county of Wisconsin. This was a very fun parade. The weather was very nice with a mix of sun and clouds with temps in the 70's. We got to meet Miss Wisconsin Rapids 2007, Shinae Kulhanek, who was also 2nd runner up for Miss Wisconsin. You can see the pictures from the parade in the Pictures section. Next, Zoey has her eyes on the Wo-Zah-Wa parade in Wisconsin Dells this September.
7/9/2007: Today, Jason Gerke, the one who did the cartoon of Zoey doing the limbo has offered to do some computer versions of that doodle. If all works well, I might have him redesign the home page of this site with new artwork. Watch for changes.
7/8/2007: Today Zoey did the New Lisbon Wisconsin parade. The parade was shorter then Tomah, but none the less Zoey had a blast. Zoey won first place for best individual performance in the parade. We also bought ducks for the duck race down the river, but none of us won.
7/7/2007: Today we were finally able to get the fax to go through to Guinness. Over the past month we have made several attempts but the fax kept on failing. Well, today, success. We should hear something in about 4 weeks or so. I will keep you up to date.
7/4/2007: Today Zoey did the parade in Tomah Wisconsin. Zoey had a lot of fun at this event and the crowd loved her. She was dressed in red, white, and blue for the 4th of July. Pictures will be up soon. Flying Wheels also participated with Zoey in the parade and had other skaters and some awesome music. After the parade Zoey went and had a caricature done by a local artist. The caricature is really cool and I hope to show the art work on this site with the artist permission in a few days. Zoey also won for best youth talent in the parade. Way to go Zoey! Next is the New Lisbon Wisconsin parade on July 8, 2007, hope to see you there.
7/1/2007: I have been getting a lot of questions concerning how this all began for Zoey. In the next few weeks I will be creating a new section of the site called The Story. This will tell how it all began for Zoey and will go all the way up to the current events. Please watch for this over the next few weeks.
6/26/2007: Zoey will be performing her limbo skills along with skaters from Flying Wheels at the Tomah WI parade on July 4th. Greg, Barb, Mike, and some rink regulars will be in the parade with Zoey. If you have a chance, come and see it. The parade starts at around 10 am.
6/17/2007: Today Zoey performed at the Steamboat Day's parade in Winona Minnesota. Zoey had so much fun and the crowd loved her, she got applause every time she went down. We really want to thank the parade committee for having Zoey there. Check out some of the pictures. Zoey said she would really love to be in some more parades.
6/14/2007: We found out today, that because of a tight budget that Inside Edition can not make it out to the parade on Sunday 6/17/2007, but they want us to shoot video of Zoey and send it in, they will air it on TV.
6/2/2007: Today, following all safety precautions, Zoey wanted to roller limbo under a Chevy truck. She did it with plenty of room to spare. I will have pictures coming soon.
6/1/2007: As of today, Zoey will be in the beginning of the parade at the Winona Steamboat Days festival in Minnesota on Sunday June 17. It has almost been confirmed that Inside Edition will be coming to the parade to film Zoey and to do an interview with her. This will be a fun day!
5/29/2007: Today a few things have happened. First, it
was brought to my attention that some of the photos were not working
when you click on them. I have corrected this problem and you are now
all free to enjoy what I have up so far.
Zoey got an email from our very loved Jennifer Livingston. Jennifer said
that the organizer of the Winona's 'Steamboat Days' in Minnesota would
like Zoey to participate in the parade this year. Wow, what an honor and
Zoey is willing to do it. We do not have any confirmation on this yet
and I will keep you up on what happens next with this offer.
We also received an email from someone at the TV show 'Inside Edition'
wanting to do a story on Zoey. We do not have any confirmation on this
yet and I will keep you posted on that also.
Zoey has also gotten several emails from some of you who have seen her
on the Today show and on the Ellen Degeneres show, thank you and keep
them coming.
5/28/2007: Today we are filling out the agreement for the Guinness World Records and will be faxing it in. We will see what happens from there.
5/24/2007: We decided to not let Zoey go to Japan or film with the Japan company. We felt this to be in Zoey's best interest.
5/21/2007: Zoey's Dad talked to Dan Simmons at the La Crosse Tribune. Dan is going to be running an update in the La Crosse Tribune on Tuesday 5/22/2007. Check it out.
Also today, Zoey's dad is currently talking to producers of a show in Japan. So far they are willing to fly Zoey out to Japan to film a TV show and to sight see. Wow, how much fun would that be???
5/19/2007: Zoey is getting ready to perform live on the Today show on May 23. Zoey has been practicing for being able to skate on a brick surface. This will pose some challenges for Zoey, but she adapts very quick. Zoey practiced on the rough parking lot of Flying Wheels Roller Rink and was able, on a very bumpy surface, make it under 4 bars set at 8 inches high and at a total distance of around 8 feet apart.
5/15 - 5/16/2007: Zoey had fun in California while there to do the Ellen Degeneres show. Well I won't tell you to much about the taping of the show, I will say it went off without a hitch. Zoey performed very well in front of a live audience and on a floor type she has never been on. Well in California, Zoey walked the Hollywood walk of fame and saw the Chinese Theater. In Los Angeles, the nights were a bit cold, around 55 degrees, but yet Zoey wanted to go swimming in an outdoor pool. Well mom and dad were freezing, Zoey and her brother were in a pool that was heated to 80 degrees. Zoey stayed the the Universal Sheraton in Universal City. There was so much to see and do, but only a very short time to see it. Zoey parents found a wonderful vegan restaurant called Vegan Express, wow was that good food.
